Police: Camera helps track suspect in fatal attack
BALTIMORE (AP) Baltimore police say staff monitoring a crime camera spotted a fatal attack and were able to direct officers to the fleeing suspect.
The monitors watching live footage from the area around The Block, the city's adult entertainment district, saw a fight among several women escalate around 2 a.m. Friday.
When they saw one woman attack another, they called 911.
Officers found 27-year-old Takirea Leray Johnson fatally stabbed and another woman critically injured.

A representative of Coinstar, the vending machine in grocery stores that sorts loose change and gives out a receipt for cash or store credit, believes someone has broken into their machine at Meijer. Between October and November, receipts from the machine in the Livonia Meijer have fallen into the single digits for the two months. The company reported to Livonia police that similar shortfalls have been reported in the Canton and Madison Heights Meijer locations.
Break-in reported
A family living in the 8000 block of Fremont reported to police that someone broke into their home sometime during the day Thursday and took a Dell laptop, printer and digital camera. The loss was placed near $1,500.
