BRISTOL A city man was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday for stealing $60,000 worth of items from area homes and businesses during a five-month burglary spree earlier this year.Ryan Winters, 25, of 146 Morning Side Drive East pleaded guilty to five counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree larceny, one count of second-degree larceny and one count of first-degree larceny before Judge Bernard D. Gaffney.Winters was facing several other charges that included additional counts of burglary and larceny, but prosecutors dropped them in exchange for the prison term.Among items Winters is alleged to have stolen were $47,000 worth of jewelry from a pawn shop, $280 worth of lottery tickets, a pair of flat-screen televisions, numerous video game consoles, a digital camera and hundreds of dollars in cash, reports say.
