After graduating high school the two moved in together (just as friends). It is now ten years since they graduated and neither one has gotten very far in the world; they're living in a small apartment where the bills are piling up. Neither makes enough money to keep going; the water and electric services are turned off, leaving them to burn their bills for heat.
So, to take care of their money problems they decide to make a porno. Seems like an easy enough way to score some quick coin, right? That is what Zack and Miri think as they rope in their friend Delaney (Craig Robinson) to bankroll the project, find an old classmate, Deacon (Jeff Anderson), who can work a camera, and commence filling out their cast, which includes former porn star Traci Lords, current porn star Katie Morgan, and Kevin Smith pal Jason Mewes.
Again, the plot sounds pretty simple, no? In a way it is. However, it also goes to show just how difficult it is to put together any film project, porn or otherwise
'Definitely too many injuries,' CU freshman Dylan Fisher said. 'I'd say before the season 6-6 would probably be good, but definitely with the injuries that'd be awesome.'
'It's a really young team still, so I wasn't expecting first place in the conference,' CU freshman Clark Harris said. 'We do have a lot of young people on our team, so that's always good for upcoming years.'
The Buffs had been the subject of scrutiny from portions of their fan base in the last few weeks, especially in the growing world of online sports discussion. On both Internet forums and CU sports-specific blogs, Colorado fans were lamenting the losses and wondering how things could be turned around.
Hawkins brought the subject up during his weekly luncheon with members of the media on Tuesday, and the Daily Camera's Kyle Ringo featured it in a story.
'There is a side of me that kind of goes, 'Is that responsible journalism?'' Hawkins said on Tuesday, 'That on the front sports page, you allow somebody to make some sort of a comment on a national paper, and then there is absolutely no accountability behind it?'
The Ralphie Report, the CU-specific branch within the large SportsBlogs Nation network of Web sites, fired back, pointing out they are also optimistic about the team and trying to be fair when they feel the team disappoints.
'Yes, some of the comments are harsh but an equally amount of comments are over-optimistic,' Ralphie Report lead writer Irish1611 posted last Wednesday. 'The Ralphie Report has only picked CU to lose twice this year. We wouldn't be on the boards or the blogs if we didn't want the program to succeed.'
Saturday's win provided each group with a shot of optimism for the rest of the season
