JENSEN BEACH More than $1,100 of cash and gift cards was stolen from a woman's car while she was at Tiger Shores Beach on Sunday, according to a Martin County Sheriff's Office report.
Sewall's Point resident Magurite Madden, 43, went to the beach with her children and dogs, placed her $200 JCrew purse in the back of the front seats of her van, locked the vehicle but left the sun roof open, according to the report.
After Madden came back from walking on the beach, she realized her purse, which had $930 worth of gift cards, $200 of cash and a $300 Olympus digital camera, was stolen, according to the report.
Madden's purse had a $800 Neiman Marcus gift card, a $80 Nordstrom gift card, a $25 Circuit City gift card and a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.
