Homeowner Catches Thieves On Camera ROSEVILLE (CBS13) With the economy sliding and burglaries on the rise, more homeowners are arming themselves with cameras and peace of mind. A Roseville resident caught home burglars on candid camera, and is now offering a reward for information on the suspects who broke into his house. At 10:38 a.m. Monday, Jerry Dizon's eight cameras caught a man and women walking up to his home.'They actually busted through the window, reached around and opened the door,' Jerry said. The two suspects spent the next seven minutes rummaging through his house, stealing more than $30,000 worth of jewelry and hauling off the goods in his own luggage. As mad as Jerry is, he's glad he invested in cameras. He spent $1,000 on his system from Sam's Club, but other systems cost as little as $120.Cameras provide both police and insurance companies with proof of the crime. As an insurance agent himself, Jerry knew it was best to invest in cameras and a relationship with neighbors.'That's always hard for our clients, to identify and prove what's stolen,' he said.Police have not identified the thieves yet, and Jerry is offering a reward for information on the two.
